Sorry for the late post again.
Recap: the EDI is an international armed force existing to protect all countries from terrorist attacks. Their best body armour is the Achilles powersuit, which was provided by macbeth industries.
In 2013, Eoin Macbeth modified the design specs for the EDI’s Achilles
Powersuit, which he designed, and created the Woad battle armour. This became his personal suit, which he used on covert missions, with his specially designed stealth hovercraft, Synapse.
In Canada, in 2010, there formed a group of superheroes, the Corps Magnifique. They included Tundra, who controlled earth; Maelstrom, who controlled water; and the siblings Flashfire and Zephyr, who controlled fire and air respectively. They soon recruited more members, among them John Travers, who can split into two people, Jack and Jacque. They also recruited the young Haywire, who controls electricity, who was later sent to the Institute of Metahuman Studies.
Cyril Fortenbrass was a Briton who, in 2009, found he had tactile telekinesis,
which granted him flight and super-strength; he also had superhuman sight and hearing. Donning a patriotic suit, he became the Great Briton, stopping crime, and receiving a knighthood.
Sylvanus Mayhew was the wealthy marquis of the small British island,
Glenshire. Wanting to use his money to help stop crime in the British cities, he donned armor reminiscent of medieval attire, and took up a nightstick, calling himself Pendragon, and went to fight crime. He rode his “steed”, the motorcycle he dubbed “Hengroen”.
In 2008, there was an ingenious scientist in Wales, who built a very advanced robot, leaving it as his legacy when he died of a terminal illness. In 2009, this robot awoke and began searching for a higher purpose. He eventually came across Pendragon, as he was fighting crime, and decided to follow that example. He dubbed
himself the Higher Electronic Robotic Operative, or HERO, and took to fighting crime.
The Banshee was an Irish hero with the power of flight, and a supersonic
The Pict was a Scottish hero who could make his numerous blue tattoos come to life in hard-light projections, allowing him to form virtually anything out of solid, blue light.
The Great Briton, Pendragon, HERO, Banshee, and Pict joined together to form the United Kingdom Protectors.
In the fifth century, Morrigan LeFae cursed Lord Bercilak de Hautdesert to
transform into a large green man, the Green Knight, every night, as a test for Sir Gawain. In modern times, that curse carried over to Bercilak’s descendent, Cerdic Berk. This new Green Knight joined the UKP in 2009. Every night, he turns green and grows taller and broader, to revert back at dawn. He has exceptional strength and durability. He headquarters is located within the historic Green Chapel.
The Elven trickster, Puck, has taken many guises over the centuries, including Reynard the Fox and Puss in Boots. In 2010, he took the guise of the hero Spring-heeled Jack. Under this alias, he breathes fire, and leaps exceptionally high and far. He occasionally uses bouts of magic, although he “never seems to be able to explain it”. He is whimsical and jovial, and particularly enjoys this guise, as his teammates don’t know his identity.
In early medieval Ireland, there was a fearsome warrior known as Cú Chulainn. He single-handedly defended the town of Ulster from the army of Queen Maev of Connaught, who was guided by the Morrigan, who took the form of a crow. In 2010, Cú Chulainn was reincarnated in the body of his descendent, Connor Cullen. Cú Chulainn could summon a magical spear of light, and go into a berserker rage. He joined the UKP in 2010, though he felt rather uneasy around Banshee, since the original banshee had been his adversary centuries ago. The UKP is occasionally assisted by Eoin Macbeth during his visits to Scotland.
One of Pendragon’s fiercest foes is the assassin X-Caliber, who uses a variety of weapons, and wears a painted metal mask and body armor.
The Highlander is an anarchist/terrorist in Scotland who is heavy on large
weapons to complement his considerable bulk. He wears a tam and a kilt, in the Scottish tradition.
Banshee’s main foe is Sham, an Irish criminal trickster who seeks mostly
money. To help him, he has his mute, nameless, muscle-bound associate, whose appearance is reminiscent of the medieval Celtic woad warriors, painted across the face and chest with blue woad paint. Sham also has a young sidekick, Gremlin, who can cause considerable havoc.Another English villain is Dagonet, an anarchist who dresses in jester-esque costumes, which ironically contrasts his serious, angry disposition. He hides various weapons and gadgets in his large hat.
X-Caliber, the Highlander, Sham, and Dagonet formed the Kingdom Krashers to oppose the UKP.
In 2010, the UKP discovered the descendent of Sir Gawain, Gareth DeWayne. He was operating on a vendetta that had been passed through his family for centuries. Becoming the Red Knight, a guise that Sir Gawain had once taken, DeWayne donned red armor similar to that of Pendragon, and mounted a motorcycle he dubbed Gringolet. He set off to kill the Green Knight. Poetically, he was defeated by Pendragon in a sort of jousting match, both being mounted on their “steeds”. However, the Red Knight then disappeared into the darkness.
